ReMed Celebrates 30 Years!

Since 1984, ReMed has been providing services for people with acquired brain injury. ReMed will kick off its 30th anniversary celebration at the annual staff holiday party on January 18, 2014. Opening its doors in January of 1984, ReMed has grown from one group home with three staff members in the Philadelphia area to 18 residential sites and two outpatient clinics and over 300 staff members with locations in the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh areas.

ReMed is proud of remaining strong for three decades, through some extremely tumultuous times in the healthcare industry when many other organizations didn't make it, and recognizes that this is no small feat. Joanne Finegan, President of ReMed, reflects on the company's accomplishments, and says, "There are many factors that have enabled ReMed to continue to move forward and grow. Outstanding team members who build solid relationships with our clients, their families and each other has certainly been a major contributor to our ongoing strength and stability. We get involved, help each other out, and don't take things for granted."

Finegan further states, “Looking toward the 30th anniversary of ReMed, we have been considering what the next 30 years should look like. Over the years, not only have we grown, but we have also added new programs and capabilities. We have become a standard of care for post acute brain injury treatment. We are looking forward to continuing this growth and expansion capabilities to continue to serve individuals with brain injuries and to retain the standard of excellence that is uncompromised.”

Over the past year, ReMed has developed many concepts to more comprehensively meet the needs of the population of people with traumatic and acquired brain injuries. A strategic partnership has been formed with Bregal Partners/Embassy, a good philosophical fit for ReMed’s management team, who will work with ReMed to expand capabilities and service offerings.

ReMed will be celebrating its 30th anniversary all year with special events and programs.
